Dr Sven Walter

Prof. Dr. Sven Stephan Walter is a German-trained Interventional Radiologist with extensive clinical, academic, and research experience in diagnostic and minimally invasive image-guided procedures.

He completed his medical training at the University of Freiburg, Germany, gaining additional international clinical experience through rotations in the United States, Australia, and Switzerland. He went on to complete his residency in Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology at University Hospital Tübingen, Germany, followed by advanced fellowship training in Interventional Radiology. Dr. Walter also completed a prestigious research fellowship in Musculoskeletal Radiology at NYU Grossman School of Medicine in New York, supported by the German Research Foundation.

Before joining Doctors Hospital, Dr. Walter held senior leadership positions at University Hospital Tübingen, one of Germany’s leading academic medical centres, including serving as Section Head of Interventional Radiology and Quality Management Officer, as well as Section Head of Ambulatory Radiology.

With a strong commitment to advancing patient care through innovation, precision, and evidence-based medicine, Dr. Walter combines specialist expertise with a patient-centred approach. He is an internationally recognised clinician and researcher, with numerous peer-reviewed publications in leading medical journals including Radiology, AJR, European Radiology, and Investigative Radiology.
