Our Journey

Chrissie Tomlinson Memorial Hospital (CTMH) first opened its doors in 2000 under the leadership of Dr. Steve Tomlinson. Inspired by his mother Chrissie’s lifelong compassion and dedication to caring for others, he established a new standard of patient-centred healthcare in the Cayman Islands, combining clinical excellence with empathy and innovation.

For 16 years, CTMH’s highly specialised physicians provided accessible, high-quality medical care, earning the trust of the community through a commitment to compassion, integrity, and excellence. These founding values remain the cornerstone of Doctors Hospital Cayman today. As we honour our history and continue to advance healthcare in Cayman, we are proud to have earned Joint Commission International (JCI) Accreditation in 2025, reflecting our commitment to meeting the highest global standards of quality, safety, and patient care.
