About Sanjay
Dr. Sanjay Awasthi is an Oncologist at Doctors Hospital and has been practicing for more than 30 years. He joins DH after serving most recently as the Cancer Center Director Division Chief of Hematology & Oncology at Texas Tech University. His research into the causes, prevention and treatment of all types of cancer has been continuously funded for over 25 years through numerous prestigious grant awards from the National Cancer Institute, Department of Defense and Cancer Foundations. Dr. Awasthi is trained to diagnose and treat all types and forms of cancer and employs various diagnostic tests such as biopsies, imaging tests, endoscopic tests, and laboratory tests. He is also trained to offer treatment techniques such as chemotherapy or radiotherapy to combat the spread of cancer.
