About Alfred
Dr. Alfred Choy is a General Surgeon at Doctors Hospital, trained in gastrointestinal and bariatric surgery with experience in laparoscopic (keyhole) surgery for abdominal hernia and gastrointestinal tract surgery. With over 30 years of experience working in the field, Dr. Choy has been credited with an outstanding number of roles such as acting as the Clinical Director for Surgery of the North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust. As a research registrar, Dr. Choy explored circulating tumour cells in breast cancer patients. His research led to publications in major medical journals, including The Lancet Global Health and the British Journal of Cancer. Dr. Choy worked as a clinical teacher for Leicester and Warwick Medical School and the University of Cambridge. Dr. Choy is a member of the British Obesity and Metabolic Surgical Society and the International Federation for Surgery of Obesity and Metabolic Disorders.
